Friday Five: 7.7.17

That's a lot of 7's in the title, wow. First off... WHERE DID THIS WEEK GO?! Literally, one minute it was the weekend, I was super excited reading your comments on my last Friday Five and then I blinked and it was time to write my next Friday Five!

This week has been crazy. It rained pretty much the entire long weekend that my boyfriend was in town visiting. If you don't know this, my boyfriend actually shoots 90% of my outfit pictures (isn't he the sweetest?!) while also not complaining about doing so. It's what dreams are made of. Anyway, anytime we tried to shoot, it would start pouring down rain. Finally, after 2 failed attempts, we shot 3 outfits in one day. So big thank you to Cody for doing that for me!

1. Round Beach Towels
Okay, random, but necessary. When I moved out to LA on my own for the first time, I never bought a pool/beach towel, I refused to buy one. I always said I would just ask for one for Christmas or for my birthday because I thought the price was just too aggressive for A TOWEL. I am officially an adult now because since moving to Nashville, I've purchased 3 pool towels! Go me! It still pains me to cough up anywhere from $25+ for a towel but when I saw this whole round towel trend, I knew I couldn't resist it any longer, I caved and finally bought one. I LOVE IT! I used mine on the Fourth of July and it was just so perfect. The one I have is sold out on Revolve but I've linked a few other options from a variety of price points as well as my cup from the IG and swimsuit!

2. The New Bohemians
As we get older, we start to notice mannerisms and habits of our parents in ourselves and let's be honest, we all swear up and down we will be different, but it's inevitable. I now not only cry during every movie I watch just like my mom, but I also read home decorating books at the pool just like my mom. Growing up my mom would always check home decorating books out from the library and I never understood it... until now. Recently I purchased this book The New Bohemians: Cool and Collected Homes and I am in LOVE with it. After every home tour, there is a little "incorporate into your home" section that I love. I bought my book on Amazon Prime, get it here!

3. This $36 Dress
Everytime I look at this dress now I think of this delicious cheeseburger I had this weekend while wearing this dress. Cody and I went to this restaurant called M.L.Rose, I had this pimento cheese bbq burger with (drumroll please...) sweet potato waffle fries. OMG my mouth is watering as I type this. Anyway back to this dress, I got this dress about 2 months ago on SheIn and it's actually very impressive quality for SheIn! I ordered a size medium which is my normal size on SheIn because I find that things run small on there. Shop the dress here!

4. Mrs. Thinsters Cookie Thins
Back around Christmas on a flight home to Cincinnati, a flight attendant gave me these cookies as a Delta Priority snack... It was love at first sight. Upon returning to LA, I ordered an entire bulk of them on Amazon because I couldn't find them at my local grocery or Target. Now you can find them basically anywhere. They are delicious, not like most store-bought cookies, they almost melt in your mouth. Okay, I need to stop talking about this before I go finish off another bag in my cabinet.

5. My New Video
Oh hey, time for a shameless plug! Number 5 is my new favorites video I just posted today! Basically, if you want to know more about what I am loving, you can watch that to find out other things that weren't mentioned in this post!

So that's it! That's my second Friday Five here on Sarah Belle Elizabeth. I hope you all are having a great Friday! I am so excited for this weekend because I've got an exciting shoot on Sunday and another shoot on Tuesday. I guess I'm addicted to shooting content for you guys! What are you the most excited for this weekend? Let me know in the comments, I love hearing from you guys! Have a safe and amazing weekend!

  1. I love the favorites post (also your summer 10 video) your blog is looking fire!

  2. Love your Friday Fives and the video! You picked such a large variety of items which is great because it's not all clothes or accessories! I'm loving Clinique lipstick in bamboo pink. The lady said it's a cult favorite and now I know why. It's a subtle shimmery nude-pink that is perfect for the office. I'm convinced it would look good on any skin tone!

This weekend I'm most excited to clean my apartment. It sounds so boring but I've been out of town so much lately that I can't wait to deep clean and get my apartment back in order!

I love your blog and your content so far!

  3. Why do you keep describing everything as being "aggressive"? There are other adjectives that exist. Saying that a towel has an "aggressive" price just sounds dumb and is incorrect.

  4. Also, how can eating something be "love at first sight"? That literally makes no sense whatsoever. Taste and sight are two completely differences senses.

    1. Cue:

    2. Your love at first sight for Sarah must be pretty aggressive for you to keep commenting on her posts.

  5. Jade L, you had thoughts so nice--you had to come back and comment twice!
